Freddie Corletto
DVM, PhD, CertVA, DipECVAA, FRVCSFederico (Freddie) Corletto is one of the clinical partners, an EBVS and RCVS recognised specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Freddie qualified with honours from Padua Vet School in 1997. He undertook his residency training at the Animal Health Trust, obtaining his RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia in 2002 and the European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2003. In 2011, he completed a PhD on traumatic brain injury, based at the School of Medicine of Cambridge University (Anaesthetic Division).
He has worked in academia (Padua University, Cambridge University), at the Animal Health Trust and in 2008 joined Dick White Referrals, where he founded and ran the anaesthetic service for 14 years, establishing the first standard residency programme approved by the ECVAA outside academia. He holds a part time Chair in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Nottingham and has been President of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Freddie has lectured internationally at courses and congresses, written one handbook and three book chapters on anaesthesia and analgesia, both in small animals and horses. He has co-authored over 50 research papers and abstracts.
