Emma Myers

DipHE CVN, DipAVN (Small Animal), VTS (Anaesthesia and Analgesia), RVN

Emma qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2000 and after working 10 years in general practice moved into referral nursing at Dick White Referrals in 2007.

Initially Emma worked as the senior theatre nurse managing a team of nurses and vets along with performing both surgical and anaesthesia nursing duties. During this time Emma went on to gain both the Diploma of clinical veterinary nursing with distinction in 2010 and the diploma in advanced veterinary nursing (small animal) in 2011. During this time her passion for anaesthesia continued to grow and Emma undertook a role as the first specialist anaesthesia nurse at Dick White Referrals gaining her American Veterinary Technicians Specialist certificate in anaesthesia in 2014. Emma has lectured frequently including at national congresses for the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists as well as having published 2 papers and written a book chapter on the Anaesthesia of animals with Sepsis.
