Emma Chilcott

RVN

Emma qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2022 via the VetSkill Level 3 diploma route, after starting her veterinary career in 2017 at Dick White Referrals.

She initially joined as a weekend ward assistant and progressed through the years to begin her nursing course in September 2019. During her training, Emma had a keen interest in wards looking after patients both pre and post-surgery, therefore after qualifying she became a Surgery Ward RVN, working closely with the orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeons to fulfil high standards of patient care. In 2023, Emma ventured to a general practice to explore what this had to offer and whilst she enjoyed her time there, she knew she had a keen interest in what referral work had to offer. Emma’s passion for surgical and medical ward nursing has continued to grow, but has also expanded to developing her skills in theatre and assisting with in-house chemotherapy administration. When she isn’t at work, Emma is either in the gym lifting weights, in a garden centre buying plants or with her beloved dog, Haze, who she has had since 2012.
